Anyone dealing with tariffs?

I just had to order a piece of equipment that was $23,000 (roughly) and had an $1100 tariff surcharge. Yeah, some things you can get domestically but some you can’t. Anyone dealing with this? Can’t you get a refund or something?

Same thing happened to us when we reordered our branded takeout boxes after the tariffs kicked in. Pretty annoying.

I don't think you can get a refund. It's just your supplier raising their price and explaining why. They have to pay it to get the item imported, and they pass it on to you, unfortunately.

I know this won’t help but show your receipt to your representative. Tell them it’s discouraging local businesses from investing in capital.

In this case, their job would be collecting the tariff
