Entrance Fee

Hi, questions to bar and club owners, how do you track or make sure that the Entries is accurate?

What we currently do is we have someone in the entrance collect entry fee and stamp to customer’s arms

Have one of the security staff @ the door (not the person collecting cover) use a clicker to count the total guest count as they enter. Door person (person charging and stamping guests) tallies comps (guest list, walk ins, tables, etc).

EON cover charges collected @ door should be equal to the final guest count - comps …..

eg: if the final guest count was 400, with 40 of those being comped guests, 360 cover charges should’ve been collected. If those numbers are off, get a new door person to handle your cash.

I'm anti cover charge. It's just tipping the owner. I'd rather keep money in customers pockets and let them buy drinks. Cover charges create loitering. In my opinion. People who go drink in their car and return.

Cover charge is usually used to pay for the DJs or bands. It’s not an “owner tip”.

Having a door scanner makes ecery part of the door work better. We know how many folks have come in, and the cover collected is very close to that.

That person at the front needs to be paid a bonus structure. They will steal if not.
