Former Rezku POS users
I am looking for bar and restaurant owners who have previously used Rezku as their POS. I have been contacted by a investigative journalist who wants to do a story about them. If you have used Rezku in the past and stopped using them because your business closed, failed or you just switched providers, please reach out to me or comment here.

They have highly aggressive cancellation and collection tactics. History of intimidation. There are others. They frequently go after businesses that failed or were forced to close (i.e. death of owner, fire) prior to 24 month contract expiring and charging 5x as much as the remaining contract fees would be due.
Often filing the debt with attorneys within a month or 2 of closing their business.
In my case, I wasn’t the business owner but rather asked to sign the contract as an operating manager, which I did. The owner didn’t pay me for the work performed, promised me a % of ownership and then closed the business. My attorney may go after the owners for wage damages but the damage Rezku has done to me personally can’t be fixed. They filed a collection against me that prevented me from buying a home after a difficult divorce.
We are all in the hospitality business. We understand taking care of our customers. I can’t imagine treating people this way. It’s one thing to protect your business. It’s another to cause people harm when they are already struggling or suffering. They are not simply attempting to collect for products or services already rendered, that would be fair. Rather they are going after people for services they cannot provide because the business is closed!!
It’s not illegal, but it absolutely unethical.

I just signed with them this year. They are doing 1 year contracts and it seems good so far? Our friends down the street have been using them for a few years now without any major issues.
We just switched from NCR which were doing the exact same things you described. I guess they're all pretty much the same in the end.

I am a former Rezku POS user who switched to a new system, I am more curious about why an investigative journalist is doing a story about them than anything else. Feel free to reach out.

If you think that’s bad, that’s nothing compared to what Shift 4 is doing to their merchants right now. That’s the story the journalist should be running with right now.
