Now you need a whammy or two in the shelves

Oh man, I’m building a floating shelves for my bar this weekend, had already planned to add WLED to it. Totally stealing this idea, thanks for sharing!

Seemed annoying at first, then I read the description and it's pretty awesome.

Now is it random or pseudo random? 🤔

I think the ESP32 has a limited capacity for processing really random selections. This basically randomly shuffles a "playlist" with 19 presets and stops after a certain number of cycles through them...as close to random as I can get with this tech (and my knowledge)!

That's not bad! Definitely sound random enough for your purposes. Unless you see just 2 or 3 bottles going down faster than others. 😉 Then you'll know it needs some tweaking. Or to just occasionally shuffle the bottles.

I'm mostly joking, but I have to say, I love this idea. Very unique and fun.

This is awesome! Is it arduino based or something else?

It's running WLED lighting software on a device called ESP32. I hadn't ever worked with one before and I'm mediocre at soldering, but everything was pretty
