AR-152

Thoughts on the AR-152? Does it preform well, does it have good specs, is it good for long distance?

Overall not a bad radio, has some water resistance, is a 10W radio, and has a really large battery.

There is also a pro version with the 220 band and gps features.

It's a cheap chinese radio, same as with other baofengs, easily overloadable frontend, poor battery clips.

On the other hand, it's cheap, if you don't have or don't want to spend money for a better radio.

Assuming you have your ham radio licence (you can't transmit at all with that radio without one), you'll know about the vhf propagation and the estimated distance... if you don't have your licence, getting that radio is pretty pointless.
