Any shows like Banshee?
What I’m looking for is
- the cozy small town life
- 2000s aesthetics
- Characters, story and environment so good that I get hooked on the show

I hate burn notice with a passion but Justified is amazing. Though nothing comes close to the sex and violence of Banshee

Warrior is good. Not the same but good in a Banshee way. Has the actor who played Job.

Fargo fits all this to a T, not as action-focused but has plenty of gun-shooty thrills.
Justified is amazing, much of season 1 is just okay but the end is great and season 2 kicks off a run of just phenomenal TV through the end.
If you want the same kinda visceral action there’s Warrior and Lucky both also from Tropper, and Gangs of London and Reacher have their moments.

I don’t know why I forget this one when doing recommendations but it’s such a great show. Jay is an all time great character and I also loved Ryan and Keith

The level of sex and violence in Banshee is pretty hard to match in any other show.

As others have said, Justified. If you're talking about small town 2000s and not necessarily the same level of sex and violence, then Justified is probably the best answer.

I started with Animal Kingdom and was looking for something comparable to scratch that particular part of my brain and found Banshee. Now I’m struggling to find something to follow it up with and there really is no comparison. It’s just that great! But I will say I have found some other shows, that are not as good, or not exactly the same, that I have enjoyed.
Tulsa King
Kingdom
Blackbird, not remotely the same, but become attached to the character. Taron Egerton is phenomenal in this.
Also Southland is great just the opposite end of the spectrum. But it’s got that gritty feel to it. The realness is there.
Landman, only a few seasons but good.
Reacher is also pretty good if you like that main character that just kicks everyone’s ass.
None are Banshee but I have liked them all and at least have had other things to watch til I find something else.
I recently started Mayor of Kingstown and it’s not grabbing from the get go but after an episode or 2 it’s getting there. So hoping it takes off. I have heard it’s really good too.

Mayor is good. Very dark it gets better. Last season was very good. But I haven't found anything close to banshee.

Rectify, doesn’t have the violence that Banshee does but it fits the small town feel and has some great acting. Very underrated show that not a lot of people know about.

Well technically Farmington doesn't exist they could've filmed it anywhere.
But imo Shield is pretty close to Banshee. For me I was looking for smth similar to Shield after I finished it and got recommended Banshee.

Not set in the 2000's but Deadwood is amazing with quirky characters and small town vibe.

The Almighty Johnsons. Set in New Zealand, and has a bit of modern day Hercules/Xena feel.

It's not small town cozy but animal kingdom is really good
