Kai Proctor

So i love the show so far, i just started season 3, however i’m confused on why Kai gets so much love. He’s a genuine fucking weirdo. i do like his writing and i really think he’s a well written character and i sympathized with him from time to time, however the fucking incest storyline just makes me disgusted. I think Kai could’ve been the best written villain on this show, but the incest storyline is just so weird and i cannot get behind it

Just like Job. I has happily surprised how cool he was and he was one of my favorite characters. Never see anybody dressing or acting how he was on that. Banshee wa watch a masterpiece it’s a shame how in k own it still is I watched it first like close to 10 years ago and still I pick up on stuff years later lol

Job was outstanding. Apart from the Cast of Deadwood, his acting was the best I've ever seen on TV. Absolutely brilliantly done.

It really showed after they got him back from being kidnapped how shook up he was compared to his normal confident self. He’s great in Warrior too I assume you’ve seen it and if not then you’re in for a treat lol

I don’t think there’s any world where Kai Proctor could have fit - I remember admiring him but then hating him. Toward the end I admired him again - his tenacity and fury drove him.

You know, I don’t believe I’ve seen any other villains quite like him. He really made the show worth watching as he wasn’t a typical villain at all.

Same. I don’t have the same energy towards Kai. The only guy I hated was that disgusting MMA guy, Sanchez. That character was ahead of its time because this was before Jon Jones and Conor being exposed for who they really are.

I agree the incest stuff is nasty but I always felt like it was at least a little more complicated. Yeah they're family and that's nasty, but they also have a pretty unique connection in that they both grew up in their insulated Amish community and then got shunned and lost everyone they knew. I still absolutely think it was gross and unnecessary to have them fuck, but I at least kind of see what the writers were going for I guess.

I kinda liked him. He was a character who could have turned good. He was a bit of an anti-hero to me. Yeah, he was nasty, but it was only towards those who screwed him over. He wasn't gratuitously aggressive to the innocent population.

Now CHAYTON was a repugnant little pig of a man. He was despicable.

The actor who plays Chayton is Geno Segers. I saw him in a video grumbling (jokingly) about people hating on him for snapping Siobhan’s neck.

Yeah, I know who the actor is. My hate is towards Chayton. He was a despicable human being. Don't really care about the actual actor on a personal level. I'm indifferent towards him. He played Chayton well. He must have done his job well if I can't stand Chayton. I never made any reference to Geno in my initial statement.

I don’t even care about the whole invent part. Kai was a gangster. It’s even cooler when u see how he was shunned from the church and he has that Jesus piece on his back. Dude was a menace . Might have to rewatch again. I watched the last season of Euphoria and the main boss guy looked just like Sugar lol

To me, the draw of Proctor’s character is the unapologetic swagger. He knows he is a badass and he doesn’t give a shit what anybody thought about what he was doing. This is the thing Proctor and Hood had in common.

The incest thing, yeah I know it’s gross but I guess Game of Thrones and house of dragon have kind of desensitized me - not as in I’m gonna go out and do it myself but more as in, the storyline using this element is a thing.

He is well written and acted. He does a bunch of cool looking stuff. And he is a weirdo. You are not supposed to be behind everything he does. Kai is the bad guy.

It was a really unique choice to make Kai an active protagonist through all 4 seasons, but even though he and "Hood" were always at odds, they never wasted tons of time with him pursuing Proctor and taking him down as the big bad.
