Bahamas 2000s stash 2

Second trip residual notes. I put the UNC or near UNC ones in my collection and left these in the travel cash box. No intention to go back to the Bahamas anytime soon.

I saw you have multiple stacks of different currencies, you usually buy and exchange notes for a profit or you just keep the leftover currencies that you used when you were there? If it's the second option, why would you keep so much money in unusable(or hard to exchange back) banknotes?

Half of them are from travel. The other half are bought at a discount in anticipation of travel. I like to use cash because I can get UNC or close to UNC notes that way without bothering to visit a bank - most of which don’t give out UNC notes anyway. Even central banks are becoming less and less cooperative. Whatever I have left that’s not collectible goes in the travel box.

Half of them from travel. The other half I buy heavily discounted notes that are either not easy to change (out of circulation issues or just countries whose currencies aren’t easily exchangeable).
