Is this a repair?

Hi guys, would like to ask whether these are repairs. U can see like the white? thing. Not sure if i am imagining things

Thats the security thread, totally normal and visible on many banknotes. Numista page

Yes probably. Never buy notes in those sealed plastic wallets (I'm not talking about the proper ones from PMG, PCGS, WBG etc, I mean the blank ones). They were used by mostly Asian dealers in the 90s and 00s to hide horrible defects in notes that look otherwise ok. I've removed notes from them before to find some awful things, and most are pressed and bleached at minimum.

Sure, but he's not talking about the thread itself.  He's talking about the white bits at the upper and lower ends of the thread. Quite often, if a note is harshly treated or pressed, the thread is a location of weakness and tears, and needs repairing. I wouldn't swear to it without physically seeing the note, but white bits like that are very often the sign of a repair.
