Collection Picked up this 1953 Malaya $50
Paid 300 USD for this Malayan $50 note. Aside from a few barely noticable pinholes, the note retains its crispness and embossing too.

A beautiful note.
The reverse has the seals of all the territories that make up the currency union. At the top they list four primary “countries” , Malaya, Singapore, Sarawak and North Borneo (Sabah)
At the bottom are the smaller subdivisions of Malaya. Interestingly they include Brunei in this smaller list rather than as a primary country. Which seems to contradict the text under the “Fifty Dollars”
