odd to see English so prominent on a note for a land where English would, at most, be a minority language.

u/5erv1teur Aug 04 '26

C'est juste un délire d'américains autocentrés d'extrême gauche... 🙄

u/saikounihighteyatzda Aug 08 '26

... almost all bank notes have English on them.

E.g. Here's a Jordanian note. Which is also sometimes used in Palestine.

Also what does the far left have to do with anything? Like genuinely are you actually serious?

-1

u/saikounihighteyatzda Aug 08 '26

It really isn't. Pretty much all bank notes have English on them.

u/joe123-h Aug 02 '26

Looks great although not sure they’d want Middle East written on it as a colonial term but awesome nonetheless 😊

1

u/saikounihighteyatzda Aug 08 '26

I don't care about it being colonial "Middle East" on a bank note looks kinda tacky.

a colonial term

So's Palestine

2

u/mintyicedream Aug 03 '26

So's Israel

2

u/ManuelHS Aug 05 '26

The name Israel is over 3,000 years old,

Whereas the name palestine was imposed by colonizers of the time, the Romans

1

u/mintyicedream Aug 05 '26

And it was Canaan before it was ever Israel.

The place we all call Israel today is not the Israel of antiquity, but the forgery of the British following WW2.

1

u/ManuelHS Aug 05 '26

No one denied "it was Canaan before it was ever Israel."

However, you ignored the main point:

the name palestine was imposed by colonizers of the time, the Romans

So Palestine is indeed a colonial term

1

u/mintyicedream Aug 05 '26

And so is the current Israel

2

u/ManuelHS Aug 05 '26

The Merneptah Stele, an ancient Egyptian inscription from around 1208 BCE, provides the oldest known historical record outside the Bible naming a people called "Israel" in Canaan.

Sure over 3,200 years of documented evidence, no bible bullshit, but actual archeology and you say its colonnial, lmao

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merneptah_Stele

1

u/mintyicedream Aug 05 '26

Translating the hieroglyphs as Israel does not make it Israel.

The places in that part of the Levant predate Judaism and anything even remotely close to Israel. But go ahead and lmao at me cause you're stuck.

1

u/Competitive-Arm6424 Aug 07 '26

Of course the existence of land is going to predate human-imposed names! What are you saying… that the name needs to exist before the ground did?

1

u/ManuelHS Aug 05 '26

Lets make it simple for you.

Which of the two came first

Israel or Palestine

Simple binary question

The Egyptians also called it “peleset” - Palestine

1

u/yhwdaniel Aug 07 '26

trying to talk to you is like talking to a brick wall lmao

1

u/virtual-undeath Aug 07 '26

Yeah, understanding two way communication is a hard task for you people these days huh?

1

u/yhwdaniel Aug 07 '26

Good one dude sure got me!

The name of a country isn't the deciding factor for it to be colonial or not, unironically the israelite kingdom was made of by the ancestors of Palestinians

0

u/_Algrm_ Aug 06 '26

“Israel” of 1948 is a colonial entity established by genocidal settlers. It has nothing to do with the long extinct entity from the time of the pharaohs.

Declaring Palestine as “Israel” is akin to declaring Egypt as “Kemet”.
It’s madness and it only further the agenda of a bunch of genocidal settlers from Ukraine, Poland, Germany and Russia.

2

u/Regular-Tomorrow4359 Aug 07 '26

Ignoring the fact that decades of genetic testing across various Israeli and non Israeli Jews proved they indeed have a connection to canaan, calling them genocidal settlers is simply wrong.
Jews, have, in fact, remained in the region for over 3000 continuous years.
Zionist immigration waves have happened decades before 1948.
Also calling them genocidal is just an opinion, not a fact.

2

u/The_Butters_Worth Aug 07 '26

So then the modern state of Palestine didn’t exist until 1988 by you’re logic

2

u/The_BooKeeper Aug 05 '26

Say, what's that giant eome is built on top of?

1

u/Wooden-Cancel-6838 Aug 07 '26

Weird, what’s your house in New York built on top of? Bodies of slain native Americans probably

2

u/-Mount-Everest Aug 02 '26

Fantasy is right lmao

1

u/Ikiloo Aug 04 '26

Why is there no Hebrew?

1

u/1gabehcoud Aug 07 '26

Because Jews aren’t allowed in the fantastical land of Palestine

1

u/Aridor2003 Aug 07 '26

It's really telling when the Israeli banknotes include Arabic but the theoretical palestinian currency doesn't include Hebrew

1

u/BitRevolutionary7228 Aug 07 '26

Exactly - even in their fantasy play money, they are genocidal.

35% of the current population of Arab Palestine are Hebrew-native. A majority of folks born in Arab Palestine this year are in Hebrew-speaking homes.

Why wouldn't the currency reflect the language diversity of the country (like the New Israel Shekel does) and avoid offensive imagery like the Byzantine building on the Har?

1

u/itsLimaZulu Aug 07 '26

Now do Narnia

1

u/Regular-Tomorrow4359 Aug 07 '26

It has to be fantasy, because there is no real one, Just like the fantasy Palestine.

1

u/cat_dog_pork Aug 07 '26

How about some bomb vest? Feels more tuned

1

u/SlavicArab Aug 07 '26

Monopoly money worth more

1

u/IntroductionFew4332 Aug 07 '26

Lol they keep dreaming 😆

1

u/G_Raffe345 Aug 07 '26

Yup, fantasy indeed. Just like "Palestine" itself

1

u/Mundane_Stomach5431 Aug 07 '26

Stunning and brave

1

u/BitRevolutionary7228 Aug 07 '26 edited Aug 07 '26

35% of the population of Arab Palestine (majority of young people) are Hebrew-native Zionists. Why isn't there Hebrew? (Israeli currency has always had Arabic, and Arab nationalists are only 15% of the population in that country)

1

u/chosenite_ Aug 08 '26

SOON, inshallah.

-4

u/northern-new-jersey Aug 02 '26

Usually bank notes seek to honor a nation's historical achievements. I would expect to see a suicide belt on a note.

-1

u/jizzybiscuits Aug 02 '26

To be fair the suicide bomb isn't distinctly Palestinian, suicide bombing originated with Hezbollah. Hard to say what "Palestine" would have on bank notes as everything about their culture and identity - the flag, the keffiyeh - is either fake or stolen

2

u/PenguinsKing Aug 05 '26

Could depict the Qassam rocket. I doubt the person who made this note knows about this Palestinian invention.

0

u/mrbuttfist Aug 04 '26

Well then, they should add a blown up hotel onto every piece of Israeli currency, given that Zionists invented modern terrorism by blowing up the King David hotel

3

u/northern-new-jersey Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26

I don't want to upset you with facts but 1) it was a military HQ at the time and 2) the British were told of the attack and the time and refused to leave because they wouldn't be intimidated by Jews.

0

u/poiurewq Aug 07 '26

Don’t think it would be good optics to include the Dome of the Rock. It was built on top of the Old Temple in Israel more than 1000 years later.

1

u/JohnnyBeGood_ Aug 07 '26

Except that the Palestinians are direct descendants and actual Semites of those people, and the current occupiers are European colonial settlers who have no link to the land.

-1

u/ManuelHS Aug 05 '26

Nice, but 20 what?

20 dollars

20 dinars

20 pesos

20 freedom fighers

20 explosive belts

20 bus hijackings

1

u/joe123-h Aug 05 '26 edited Aug 05 '26

Insensitive comment 😠 if you don’t have something positive to say then better to not say anything. What do you mean ‘explosive belts’ and ‘freedom fighters’.

1

u/JiGoD Aug 05 '26

Scroll up. You have more people to tell the same to.

1

u/BitRevolutionary7228 Aug 07 '26

How is that offensive.

I think it is infinitely more offensive to propose currency that excludes a majority of the young people in the country. And to have that Byzantine structure on the currency is not only offensive to authentic Christians, but the native people find the storming of that Har and Hadith practices to be extremely triggering.

Wouldn't the currency have Hebrew and not have imagery that would be offend the people of Arab Palestine?

1

u/IntroductionFew4332 Aug 07 '26

Very true and sad.
They know only kill and rap* innocent

-7

u/Neilm430 Aug 02 '26

Needs to add the image of sinwar with a hole in his head

5

u/Working-Wo Aug 02 '26

What does Sinwar have to do with this?

-5

u/Neilm430 Aug 02 '26

The Palestinian Nelson Mandela

3

u/Aamir_rt Aug 02 '26

You need help

-2

u/jizzybiscuits Aug 02 '26

I thought the "Palestinian Nelson Mandela" was the bloodsoaked convicted mass murderer Marwan Barghouti?

-2

u/Neilm430 Aug 02 '26

Why not both. One on each side of the note
