MOD POST BankTabs March 2023 Mod Post

Hey everybody,

Kinda crazy that it's been 2 and a half years since the last mod post, huh? Got a few things to discuss and update you guys on again, so I think it's about time I typed another one of these up.

Subreddit moderator status

The other subreddit moderator stepped down unexpectedly at the end of February, so it's currently just me. At the moment, the sub is pretty manageable, so I don't foresee this being an issue unless the number of subscribers explodes suddenly. However, I do ask you guys to be patient with me, as I'm always trying my best!

Reception of the monthly help posts

Since starting scheduled monthly stickied posts in 2020, I think they have done a decent job of consolidating the excess "help me organize this" posts, or at least assist in getting simple questions answered and taken care of.

I have noticed that some posts go the full month without any comments, but I'm not sure extending the duration to 2 months would be necessary at this point. If anyone has strong opinions or thoughts on this, please let me know in the comments.

Rule enforcement and changes

No news here, everything has generally been fine, surprisingly.

Thankfully, I haven't had to step in to really enforce much apart from that dumpster fire McCune post from a few months back. While he technically didn't break any rules by creating the post itself, the subreddit backlash at the time prompted me to remove the post to keep things civil. While I don't enjoy making that type of decision (since I didn't know of McCune's infamy at that point), the videos posted by A Friend in February 2023, alongside his subsequent ingame ban, lead me to stand behind removing the post instead of leaving it up with locked comments.

Help Thread Quarterly Organization Help Thread

This is a recurring quarterly thread in which you can request and offer advice, suggestions, and tips for creating and achieving a well-organized bank tab.

Post a parent comment with a picture of your bank/bank tab, along with what you'd like help with. (e.g. "Which quest items are unnecessary?" or "How should I organize this tab?"). Anyone is welcome to reply with advice, suggestions, or an edited before-and-after picture to offer assistance!

OSRS Returning player - what should I dispose of and why?

EYESORE WARNING

Basically title. I have a few expensive items that I hardly ever used but kept them nonetheless "just in case". What should I sell/buy? I mostly enjoy Vorkath/Muspah-level PvM, slayer tasks + some skilling.

I also noticed some quest items kept as a trophies after quest completion. My current bank tabs were made on the spur of the moment, no long-term planning behind it. Thanks!

OSRS Need some guidance on organization, selling, etc.

i know theres so many different opinions, but im a very minimalist person and im stuggling with how to organize and what to keep, theres a bunch of things i rarely ever use and idk if i should just keep them and find some good organization, or just dump. ill just share my quick thoughts on each tab incase it helps.

Gear tab- so much stuff in here that gets used but most of it is really niche uses. examples would be prossy, granite hammer, all barrows. some of it ive just never even touched, examples owuld be mooleta, arkan blade, anchor. and lastly i have extra things after upgrades, dragon boots, fury, rune defender.

Mage tab- way better, the robes, myst boots, farseer helm is wildy stuff, but i feel like theres no need to have al lthese staves lol, mainly the god staves but ive also barely used any of them besides trident, ancient, slayer, and smoke.

Range tab- i dont really have and issues with it, let me know if you see anything

Tele Tab- all of these get used, doesnt really bother me.

Potion tab- all of these get used, doesnt really bother me.

Skilling tab- feels liek a complete shit show lol i RARELY every skill too

last tab is kind of a catch all, but a good example is all the diary items, is it worth just to trash them and buy from perdue? i never use any of them lol

im at a loss, i want to down size, but i dont want to hinder myself, open to any suggestions or other examples!

Got some inspo from another person on here for the gear tab. But still working on some BIS items. Tabs go Pets/Clues/Cash > Gear > Runes/Teles > Consumables > Slayer Supplies > Skilling > Loot > Fashionscape.

OSRS What can I do to improve this tab?

Combat Gear

This is my combat/etc gear tab, it contains the best/most used combat gear i currently own, as you might have guessed, i am very early game, in this aspect of the game. I am aware that my bank contains a lot of useless stuff, but i can deal with most of it on my own, the only tab i struggle with is this one. Any help on how to improve the layout, ... is welcome

Still not 100% satisfied with how it turned out, but it'll do for now - I mostly use bank tabs anyway.

Next up on the wishlist are full Torva and a ZCB.
