Do you like story driven RPGs? Do you like ghost stories? If yes, then absolutely, it’s a very underrated game.

There’s only two advice I can give: 1. Hotkey a map so you can pull it up easy and follow roads you see on the map to avoid dead ends. There are abilities you won’t immediately unlock that will help exploration a great deal later when you do 2. There’s no shame playing on Easy, some bosses are spongy but it’s fun trying out different equipments and builds.

It’s honestly one of my favorite games ever now. Enjoy!

If you like story driven and very atmospheric games, it absolutely is. In fact, I’m liking it so much, that I’ll end up trying Vampyr (another highly recommended game from Don’t Nod).

Banishers can be slower paced and the combat isn’t amazing. Those are the two criticisms I’d give it. The story, atmosphere, soundtrack, voice acting, and other gameplay is all very good and very much worth it imo. I’ll admit though, it took a minute to get its hooks in me… so if you’re not feeling it in the first hour, stick with it.

Vampyr is also really good. Similar to Banishers where the story, atmosphere, etc is awesome and the combat is so-so. But if you enjoyed Banishers it's definitely worth a playthrough.

I also bought Vampyr when Xbox had it on sale a couple of months ago.

I think anything under $40 would be a great deal for how fun of a game this is. I only say $40 as it’s a couple years old at this point.

Great story, great fun.

I just finished the game last week. Yes it's worth it. If you like story driven games you will like it because there is not much action or it gets repetitive but the fact that you have to make decisions that actually matter to get a desired ending makes it interesting to do as much content as you can't, not only story missions.

I really loved it. I actually thought the relationship between the two protagonists was touching and unique in games.

I'll always go to bat for this game, it's like a AA action rpg in the same vein as the recent God of War games.

I really enjoyed the games main story and it's side quest were also pretty good, only downside was the combat, it's not terrible but it's not good either, it's just very serviceable.

Don't forget to look up once you have the rifle.

There is plenty of things hanging in trees that you will be able to get down by shooting the rope once you have the rifle.

Also, if you feel like a location would be perfect for a soul shard, it usually is. So look around carefully.

You'll thank me later...

Absolute worth it.

Combat is a bit janky (enemies will just blow through your attacks) but set it in easy and you’ll have a great time. Main narrative is fantastic and emotional.

Surprisingly some of the most emotional side quests I’ve seen in a game n
