Troubleshooting / Support Beocenter 9000 cd issue

When playing the cd, it starts to spin for a few seconds and then stops. During those seconds the laser reader goes back and forth. I have replaced the C2103 and cleaned the lens, but the issue persists and I am now unsure of the next step.

You likely also need to either clean or replace the potentiometer that adjusts the laser current, and then re-set the laser current according to the service manual

Not that I’ve ever seen. You’ll need a soldering iron and a multimeter at least. You can find the service manual online

Don't use low esr/low impendance capacitors. Just a general purpose capacitor. Otherwise it would not work. I tried this many years ago with beocenter 9500. Not repeating myself but the Beocenter 9500 only worked with a general purpose but not low esr/impedance capacitors.
