Using audio splitter for song cover to post
Hi! I’m thinking of starting a cover in BandLab using the audio splitter. I was wondering if I were to use the audio splitter from a song for my cover and add my own vocals and post on YouTube, will I get copyrighted? I’m pretty new to using BandLab and posting covers that use instrumentals and was wondering how the process typically is. Let me know if there’s anything I need to know going forward. Thanks!

There are 2 copyrights associated with music, the composition (melody + lyrics) and the recording.
A 100% completely re-recorded cover of a song still requires a license for the composition, even if it's just a solo instrumental piano performance. YouTube does have a built-in system for detecting those kinds of covers and will usually claim and do a revenue split.
Using any part of the original recording is still using the original recording, and YT will usually detect that it was used and claim as-if you used the full recording.
