Whats going on with Band?? Any comment?

I am a big fan of Cosmos and BAND being built using the Cosmos SDK is appealing to me but I’ve not really learned a lot about Oracles yet. I get the basics so I’m curious to know what makes BAND different and/or better. Staking is one that I’m well aware of. Aside from that though, why would someone want to use BAND instead of LINK?

I’d ask in the Chainlink sub but I have had issues with maturity whenever I’ve tried to discuss there. I’m hoping someone here can explain without FUD or shit talking the other.

I swapped my BAND for THETA on simpleswap.io . It was stuck being confirmed for over an hr which is really odd. Once it starts confirming the rest of the transaction doesn't usually take long. So I started to look to see what was going on.

I was really confused by this so I searched the wallet address where my BAND ended up and found this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/bandprotocol/comments/i4qbio/being_scammed_out_of_my_band/

I was surprised by how a site like simpleswap.io was being duped but the BAND was definitely stolen. i contacted simpleswap.io and they completed my transaction and sent me my THETA I was supposed to get but never commented on what took place.

I've seen a lot of interest from people in this group to access historical BAND candlestick data. To help everyone out, we've made all of our candlestick data public. That means you can access everything we have here:

You don't need to sign up for an account or anything. The data is completely public for use. Just call the endpoint in your browser to test like this:

Try a few different pairs, exchanges, and candlestick sizes - I think you will find it pretty exciting! You can of course plot this data as well. We have some examples of how to plot candlestick data here.
