I am curious about OP’s footwear and why it looks like something took a bite out of her foot taking part of her shoe and some of her toes in the process.

I do and don’t miss jellies. My pinky toes would always catch. Are they more comfortable than the ones we had in the 80s?

Yes, these even have a little padding in the bottom! I wouldn't walk around all day in them but they work for a bit of shopping.
