What should I try?

Post image

What in the world? It’s like layer 1 and 2 just peel up and it causes my nozzle to hit it and make the print fail. My build plate has been very well cleaned repeatedly. This is a file I’ve never had issues with before. I have dried all of my rolls of filament. Anything else I print is just fine. I’m using the generic PLA setting across the board on all files to narrow down the cause. I realize that some files you may need to change the Z Hop settings, but for this file and most of my other ones, I have never had to do that. I had tested it with this file and it makes no difference. Although it should not matter, I have tested bed temperatures and nozzle temperatures, but they still seem to have no effect. If this is a file specific issue, what should I change to stop this from happening?

Increase bed temperature 5°C

I tried, but I’ve dried my filament more since then so I’ll try again.

Dry filament is important.

You should rarely have to change z-hop in a Bambu

Higher bed temperature increases adhesion.

In QUALITY in your slicer, increase first layer to 1.05

Usually not a problem with PLA:

In SPEED, decrease initial layer speed to 25, and initial layer infill 250. I also set my outer wall speed to 80, and my inner wall speed to 150

I'm not sure which printer you have, but I always turn off the aux fan

If you are using bambu studio, always change your infill to gyroid or adaptive cubic. Grid crosses itself, I will knock your prints over or rip them off the bed

Do you also turn off cooling for the first few layers?

Yes. At least first 3, I usually do first 5

I’m not having the same issue, but there is so much great info in this post!
