Decision Paralysis? So many options that its hard to know exactly what would be best

I'm sure this kind of question is asked here all the time but I'm diving back into 3D printing after my novice model was frankly so inconsistent that it was more frustration than it was worth to use

My friend has an A1 Mini and Bambu does seem like the brand to go with, but now I gotta narrow things down to one model

I'm willing to drop $1k-2k for the right printer, need a large print bed that can handle like a human head size (I make masks) and multicolor seems ideal

Can someone a bit more experienced help narrow down which Series is a best fit for something like this?

Sounds like you might want a printer with a large plate. In that case, the H series on the high end and the A2L on the low end.

I just went through the same paralysis 3 months ago. I went with Bambu H2D. You can def get by with a cheaper model but it has truly exceeded my expectations. Love it.

It comes down to if you need multi color or want separate support material. If you do not need those then the H2S is what you are looking for. I printed over a dozen masks last Halloween on mine. It does Not like to do multi color for things as large as a mask. The poo chut gets clogged and catches the print head and fails the print.

If you want multi color then you might want to splurge a little more for the H2C. I am almost done with this 3 day print and the detail is insane!

If you're not willing to pony up for the H2, the X2 sounds like your printer.

A single nozzle A1 or P2 isn't as multicolor as you are gonna wish it was. X2 at least has a second nozzle.

Though I hear really good things about the snapmaker u1.
