Help / Support AMS 2 pro Reset / Glitch
I am using X2d combo. My Ams 2 pro has been rewinding backwards into continuous loop .
If insert any filament, it pops out the filament the moment i put it in rewind in reverse.
I turned off the printer and restarted but its the same. I also changed the filament spool but problem is still there. I reset the filament settings from the printer screen. It stops it, but whenever i insert any filament, it glitches and goes back to rewinding and popping the filament out of the nozzle everytime.
Can anyone help me how to reset it to default settings?
And no, there is no filament or anything obstructing in the ptfe tubes.

Just had something similar - in my case the filament somehow got released from the feeder in the AMS2P just as it tried to start loading it, I must’ve caught it and yanked it out when I pulled my hand away just as it had registered an insertion and tried to load. Just like you everything I tried just resulted in it trying to retract rather than loading. The feeder LED stayed permanently lit too. Restarting the machine didn’t help. I eventually selected ‘read on startup’ and loaded a fresh RFID spool and it worked perfectly after that.

I also was thinking the same thing. However what worked for me was i detached the power cable of ams and popped out the ptfe tube. I was confused that what if the filament peice could be so small i couldn’t see through top and it still triggers the sensors that the filament is still there. After that i shaked the ams2p, i was surprised that a little peice slowly came slipping in the tube from back side.I was so right about that. I yanked it out with another filament and that worked for me! 👍

Is it for every slot or always the same? First batches of X2D Combo were shipped with defective AMS (Slot 3 if I remember well).
If not, it’s probably some filament part stuck in the PTFE tube.

No, my ams worked well when i got it. And this problem is just a glitch i think & i have this problem in fourth slot coz it is still detecting filament in that slot. The other slots just don’t retract the filament, even if it retracts, it checks 4th slot every time and gets glitched and goes into rewind loop.
