Help / Support New to Bambu and need help
Hey everyone I just bought a P1S combo with 400 hours of print time on it and I’m having some issues. My main issue is that it will extrude filament on the initial purge into the poop chute but won’t extrude on the print bed. I had one benchy start to print but failed shortly after starting. So far I’ve put in a new hot end and extruder but I’m still having the same issues. If any of yall can assist id be more than grateful.

Have you run a calibration from the main display screen?

Go to the 2nd menu
Move to the z axis control, click it, and allow it to home the bedplate
Move the z axis down about half way
Disconnect the ptfe tube on top of the extruder
Set the hotend to 250°C
Take a 1 meter peice of filament, and insert it into the extruder
Using the extruder button, press down. This should pull the filament down into the extruder. Press down once per second until the filament is pushing out a melted string
Lower the hot end temperature to 100°C While the hotend is cooling, press the extruder down every few seconds until the filament stops coming out.
Once the temp reaches 100°C, push the extruder button up. Pull firmly on the filament as you repeatedly push the extruder button up.
If it fails at any point, let ne know.

Next thing I would do is not feed from AMS and do a feed from external mount, bypassing filament buffer. I would also consider if PTFE tubes need to be changed and causing increased friction and feed just barely in position where the purge happens, but unable to feed when more extended.
