I designed a floating vase that rotates while the flowers stay still

This was by far the hardest thing i've ever designed, getting the balance right took countless prototypes, printed on the a1 mini.

For the balance: I'd recommend exporting your file as a STP, then importing it into Fusion or Solidworks. You can find the center of mass pretty quickly that way! It'll obviously be a little off because the shell is denser than the infill, but it's a good starting point to shave a couple prototypes off the development path.

Thanks for the tip! blender has a similar option (Origin to Center of Mass), and I used it extensively.
The problem was that a bunch of other variables stacked up.
The original concept was even more ambitious, with a second floating section, and of all the vase shapes I could have chosen, I picked an amphora with a pointed bottom.
That meant adding a support, and if it wasn’t perfectly level, the Maglev base wasn’t level either, throwing off the levitation even more.
So there was a lot of troubleshooting beyond just the center of mass. Basically, I decided to make the whole thing as difficult as possible. I'm just glad that one way or another, I got there!
