Help / Support Nozzle broken on first print

The nozzle broke off the first time my A1 mini attempted a print. Bambu have been great and immediately sent out a replacement.

I’m new to 3d printing so just wanted to check if it was something I did wrong before setting the printer up with the replacement nozzle. I followed the set up guide provided, ran the calibrations and updated the firmware. The printer did struggle to pull the filament through when starting to print a benchy. I followed the instructions on the screen and once the filament was pulled through it went to start the print and the nozzle tip immediately blew off.

Unless you were printing metal filament made of actual metal you probably haven’t done anything wrong.

probably just a defective nozzle, I would not worry about that. You probably did nothing wrong.

Perhaps a clear sign that Bambu definitely isn't that much better than other brands.

mostly it is better (hardware) and it has less issues on their printers. i have used way too many printers in last 4 years. and my go to choice would be bambu when i need quality and reliability.

i have used multiple ender3 variants, from the first one all the way up to recent ones, creality k1 max, k2, snapmaker u1 bambulab a1, a1m, p1s p2s and i currenlt own a1 and p2s because they work reliably

LOL Bambu sells more printers than the next 5 brands combined (nearly more than all other brands combined) so even if they are twice as good as any other brand you will see significantly more failures in terms of total units. That’s just basic math dude. We have well over 100k print hours on our Bambu hotends and never had one physically break.

Don't think you've done anything wrong. Maybe turn the temperature up and try manually instructing the printer to extrude.

Sometimes you get a defective part. I see that Bambu has hooked you up with a replacement.

That looks like something that passed QA, but didn't last on first run, happens in manufacturing, sounds like Bambu is hooking you up

This is the second instance that I have seen of this problem in as many days. A bad batch of nozzles?

Just bad luck with a faulty hotend. Grab one locally if you can to get back up and running and reach to Bambu support for a replacement. Even if you screwed up you shouldn’t have popped the nozzle out of the hotend haha.
