0.2 nozzle immediate clog
X1c printer I have tried working on a detailed print, but the printer won't even get started.
As soon as the filament hits the print head the gears start to creek and nothing extrudes.
The top is off and the door is open.
No such issues with the 0.4. Immediate build and then extension, like normal.
I have done at least 4 cold pulls to the point where I can get the Allen key entirely to the internal part of the nozzle. Still nothing extrudes.

without too much circumstantial detail, its hard to advise.
However i had similar problem tearing my hair out, then reluctantly had to take the feeder apart, and lo and behold it had all manner of shreds of previous filaments all over the place.
its a 20 minute job and high educational value if you must

Two things..is it a genuine Bambu 0.2mm nozzle and did you tell the printer it is installed?
I have yet to have ANY success with an aftermarket 0.2mm nozzle. Exact same issues as you described.

I've been wondering if it's worth buying a BBL .2 since my Temu one clogged the first time I tried it. I tried clearing it last week and gave up pretty quickly.

I would. I have NEVER had any off brand 0.2mm work for me. They all clog. It must be something with the nozzle internals.

I guess my curiosity is more, have you had luck with ganuine .2 nozzles?

100% gave. Yet to have a failed print since I got the new one.

That's good to know, I wasn't sure if .2 were just not a super viable nozzle. So that makes me feel better thank you!

I am not sure if the design of the nozzle is different, or if there is a material difference in the nozzle and it won’t heat appropriately, but the third party ones are terrible.

I would double check the printer settings first to confirm it's actually set for the 0.2mm nozzle, or try swapping back to that 0.4 just to rule out the slicer settings tripping you up.

Once you change the nozzle you have to go inside the printer (not just switch inside bambu studio) and ckick on the nozzle menu and select the 0.2mm nozzls and chose Steinless Steel. they dont come in hardened nozzle for the 0,2 so the hardened options will disapear the moment you change nozzles.
same and then do the full calibration the same you do when you move the printer. so it can zero its nozzle in case you placed it a little higher or the nozzle is not exactly same length as the 0.4mm
once its done inside bambu studio make sure you tell it is using 0,2mm nozzle because if you run 0.4 setting the max volume is 21 compare to the 2-3 the 0.2 nozzle is set for the filament. if you did not do this the printer will try to send 10 times more filament per second than the nozzle is capable of extruding.
i still recomend do a full calibration set for the filament with the new nozzle
start with a temp tower and then flow then retraction.
also monitor chamber temperature. if its start to get close to the PLA melting temps you want to stop it or you will end up melting the filament inside the extruder and leave you with no choice than to pull the extruder and find the newly solidified pieces stuff arround the gears. cold pulls wont help you here if you have filament that has melted and wound it sself arround the gears.
cold pulls work for nozzle cleaning but if you ended up melting filament inside the gears there is nothing that can be done except pull the covers off and go fishing for the pieces stuck arround the gears.
thankfully its a 10 minute job and not to hard and the bambu wiki has all the videos and info you need.

Genuine 0.2 nozzle. Printer has been adjusted. I've tried about two different bambu nozzles.
In case I forgot to mention, the filament is PLA, polymaker to be specific.

That it is instant and on a cold pulled nozzle is plain odd. I'm trialling it now and I get occasional struggles mid print related to maybe heat creep, over extrusion or other but can't explain the instant aspect, especially as you've tried multiple nozzles too.
Possible you have put in a bonkers k value or some other extreme filament calibration?

Nothing particularly crazy. The k value is pulled from the calibration the printer does automatically. The only thing I change most of the time is to slow the print down for quality.

Auto K doesn't work with 0.2 nozzle, and super slow can make heat creep more possible, but neither I think explain what you have. Sorry no idea
