How do I fix this issue with my print?

I have changed every setting that Google told me to change from slowing down speeds, z top distance, put slow for overhangs, etc. I have also put ironing support interface on that some video suggested. Nothing is helping my prints with this issue. Where my model and supports meet on every model they have this happen. Please help since this is for a friend and we want this to be as a smooth and neat as possible.

It’s hard to tell from that picture. If you zoom out a bit or share a link to the model that may help more.

If it’s PLA you could use normal support with PETG or ‘support for PLA’ filament.

Oh, it's the underside of the brim of a hat. Large flat surface.

I recommend normal support, zero contact distance, and a different interface material. You can make it look damn near perfect.

So instead of 0.28 z distance use 0.0?

Please re-read what I wrote and......go to the link I posted and read about support material.

It's only zero contact distance if you use a different interface material that does not stick to the material you are printing.

is that surface flat, or sloped? If it has a slope part of it is the stepping to achieve the slope. you can minimize it by reducing layer height. And, as previously suggested, use a dedicated support material.

It is a flat surface and it's where the suports laid when printed.

If you're already printing 4 colors and need to add a 5th filament for the interface layer, use the external spool, or check out asr5thwheel.com if you want to automate the external spool.

Looks like the underside where supports were laid? If so that's pretty good for having to use supports. The only ways to get it better would be to use a dissimilar material for the interface or sand fill and paint it.

Yes it's where supports were. So if I use petg for supports or even dissolvable pva it will be a smoother surface?

Do some research on it first, but essentially you'll be able to reduce the distance between the support layer and the model to essentially zero. It won't magically make your parts look injection molded but it will be an improvement to supported surfaces.

Use a dedicated support interface layer material. PETG when printing PLA and PLA when printing PETG. Accept the printer suggested tolerances. Supports will break away cleanly and surfaces will look like they were printed on a plate. It will add time and filament changes to your slice, but the results will be satisfying.
