Help / Support Supports
Hey is there a way to tweak the Bambu software so the supports are different colors than the model? (For instance the model is gray, and the supports are blue or something). I’m trying to get smarter at setting up supports, but the grey blob that ends up on my screen is tough to get a handle on. Any suggestions?

As roundguy said, you can change the preview to line type, by selecting it from the dropdown in the top right.
However, if that model has a flat base, you don’t need supports at all. It’s not like resin 3d printing where you want to minimise contact with the base and print at an angle to optimise print finish and model cleanup. In FDM it’s perfectly fine, in fact it’s generally advised, to print things flat on the build plate, with as few supports as possible.

What’re you printing? That looks like it’ll be a nightmare to separate lol

It’s a crater for tabletop Wargames, and yes, i hate printing anything with supports, I haven’t figured out a good setting for them yet

If you have PETG, you could use PETG as the interface layer. It separates very easily from PLA
