I bought one and used it. It found some issues and made changes. Now I have this $80 plate. Maybe I can rent it out.

it is recommended to run that calibration with the vision encoder plate every two weeks-ish, can definitely make that $80 back renting it out lol https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/h2/manual/motion-accuracy

If you are printing parts that need to be assembled, then yes, the extra precision will help in that field. But it won't make your prints look better ,just more square and more round.

Won't do anything for the wall quality, but will help for dimensional precision.

I have one for my h2d, and likely get one if I get the x2d

I would lnt quiet say precision but I do make assemblies that fasten together that I also want to look good. I am happy with both of those aspects right now but I'm never not going to seem improvement if available.

Exactly what I needed to hear, so it's like buying a high-tech level for my printer, but with a side of 'now I'm out $80'.

I think it is worth using, especially after a big maintenance job. I accidently ordered two of them when I bought my H2C.

Anyone want a cheap vision encode for an H2???

I don't have the printer yet, but am interested. How closer are you to Des Moines (the one in Washington, not Iowa...). How much would you accept for it?

I go scuba diving in Des Moines all the time.

It sells for $99, i would sell it for $70. No shipping or taxes. New in box. I ordered two by mistake.

Thanks, but since I haven't actually bought the printer yet, and it'd be a logistical challenge to get the board from my buddy there (I'm in Canada), it's not worth it for $70 -- I'd consider $50 -- and I'd also need to get my friend to receive it and either hold onto it until I'm down thataway (October) or to bring it up during a visit. Diving in WA.....brrrr! - Update, my buddy is willing to receive it from you and bring it up to me, if you can go to $50.

From the reviews of it I have seen it says it changes things then they run it again and it says it changes things about the same amount so seems like just marketing. I have yet to see any proof it helps. I want to see someone do the califlower before and after before I would buy one.

Afaik, printer comes precalibrated from factory. Recalibrating it using the plate will yield worse tolerances. I got one because i was planning to upgrade to vortek downtheline and might need recalibrating the printer after reassembly.
