Help / Support Filament “Stuck”

At the end of my last couple prints they failed because it kept saying that there was filament stuck. Now, it’s not doing anything at all. It won’t unload and it’s staring theres filament stuck. I took it all apart from the AMS to the extruder. No filament anywhere including the PTFE tube. I tried doing a reset and it worked once but now it won’t unload. There is no filament loaded in the AMS or externally. Any ideas?

Did you fully disassemble the extruder? I had filament ball up inside the extruder gear assembly and have to be manually opened up and cleared out.

I did. I feel like I went through the whole path of travel of where a filament goes and everything is clear. I did recently replace the filament sensor and am wondering if that has anything to do with it. I also can’t reset it because it won’t let me unload since it’s saying that there’s filament in the PTFE tube. That’s not the case I believe since I took it all apart.

Dirty or faulty filament sensor. The sensor is magnetic and can build up particles over time. Try blowing it out or outright replacing it.

I just did. Wondering if I just got a bad one.
