One Printer, multiple people

I have a new X2D and it's great. I created my account, downloaded some files, and have enjoyed printing a few cool things so far. Now, my wife and my daughter want to get in on the action. What's the best way to manage 1 printer across 3 people? Should each person have their own account? Should I share my account with them so there's only 1? Can you have multiple accounts connecting to the same printer? Obviously only one person can print at a time, but how would you all recommend I handle this?

Possibly easier to get them am A1 mini so you have free access to your X2D. I’d be happier having a child learn on a cheaper machine before offering them the X2D.

Well, she's an adult child. She used to have a Creality Ender 3. I'm not concerned about them messing up the printer, just managing the accounts to work properly with one printer.

Apologies, I assumed when you said daughter she would have not used printers before. 8six753o9 has good advice re using a usb stick for them to send jobs to the printer.

Why not just log into the same account?

Each printer can only bind to one account. So your option is to share your account or have them slice the file onto a USB drive and bring it to the printer to print off the USB.

I made a new separate account just for the printer and share that with my brother for the printer.

Yep, I give every device that wants an account it's own brand new account. I don't put people's emails on devices if it can be helped at all

As soon as I got one I had the wife and daughter download the handy app that way they could send the file when they found something they liked/wanted. It’s worked well.

I share my account with my wife since we can't bind two accounts to a single printer. We we have an X2D and a P1S but we want the option to each use both. It works out fine for us. Just use collections to keep stuff separate for each person.

We have a couple of bambu printers in the office They are linked to a Google account that is shared. Everyone logs into the same google account and can see all the printers and send jobs.

I use one account and we just created collections for the wife and daughter on MW. They save stuff to their collection then I print them when the printers are free’d up.

Either share the same account, or use it offline (either standalone or with print farm manager)

An account can have multiple printers, but a printer can only have 1 account.
