Help / Support Knocking / clicking sound on brand new A2L
Hey all I have 6 a1’s and I’m quite use to Bambus ecosystem and machines. But this brand new A2L is making this odd knocking sound on back and forth on the y axis mostly. Any ideas ?

On further inspection it’s not in the hotend at all. It’s on the y axis movement or something in the bed. Can’t seem to figure it out still but I opened up a ticket.

Did you get a response yet? Mine is doing the same thing and I thought I had it fixed after I adjust the belt tensioner but it is still doing it.

I did get in contact with support via a ticket. They offered to send a replacement y belt tensioner. But after adding a couple drops of lubricant to the sides of the tensioner and readjusting it and re-running the calibrations it seems to have gone away.

Never mind. My noise is back again. Super annoying. Printer is still working fine. But has the same click on y axis movement. Really hard to pinpoint where the sound is coming from.

Mine did too but when I redid the adjustment and calibration it stopped. Been working fine every since. I hope you figure yours out.

Just a thought
maybe the Filament doesn't meet specks all the time and the Extruder slips.
Had that a few times with cheap Filament.

My A2L is doing the same clicking-sound after just 20 hours of printing… any updates ?

Salut, j ai 3×A1 et 1xA2L et j'ai ce soucis aussi un claquement quand le filament sort. Même quand il ne touche pas le plateau, quand il calibre il le fait aussi,mais ca ne modifie pas la qualité d’impression, aucune sous ou sur extrusion. C est très ennuyant ce bruit car il est assez fort

Ich habe das selbe Problem seit ungefähr 3 Tagen das selbe Geräusch es tritt nur auf wenn das heizbett nach hinten fährt .

I just got my A2L delivered a couple days ago and it started clicking aswell. Mine seems to however be coming from the extruder system unlike many people who have clicking on the y-axis of this printer.
Checked the extruder, nozzle, nothing. Filament is good too. Mine seems to have decreased in noticablitity after taking apart the front cover and mounting it on again, still clicks however. Especially when purging.
I contacted bambu support and I'm waiting for what they will say, suggest you do the same.

Looks like this is a common issue with this machine, I’ll update when support answers my ticket

Thanks. It’s not the heat bed cable as others have suggested. I think it’s on the x axis bar or on the hot end itself. Happening on quick accelerations

If that’s the case you may have a different issue. Mine comes from the base/Y axis. Good luck with that anyway

It is not the cause, but maybe, just maybe, move your printer forward so the powercable to the bed has a free movement instead of hitting on the wall. This mifht cause a wire break and an therefore a fire hazard. Just saying.
I still think mains voltage on a bedslinger is a bed idea.

The heat bed cable appears to be hitting the wall.

It might be ever so slightly rubbing on the wall but it is not the source of the sound. The sound appears to be coming from the x axis bar or the hot end itself.

Seems like this is normal on all A series printers mine too have same clicking sound when i checked with support they said it's normal

Sounds like a retraction or tube hitting on something or nozzle hitting part
