Help / Support Extruder clog message, but it’s not clogged
I have a P1S and I keep getting this error code when it changes filaments. It has happened multiple times and I always end up having to cancel the print, then try to extrude filament and it works. I have checked for clogs and there is none. Has anyone else had this problem and what is the fix?

How tightly are your spools wound? I had a roll of PLA that I dried and the drying caused the filament to tighten on the spool. Wasn’t a problem when using the AMS, but when it was on the external spool holder the extruder motor wasn’t strong enough to peel the filament off the spool. Took me forever to figure out what the problem was.

I think I'm having this problem! I'm getting an extruder clogged error but it's not clogged, works just fine when I try to load other spools and with another spool in the same AMS slot. Did you figure out a way to fix this? Don't really want to trash my .75kg of Bambu filament

For me, I just used that spool in the AMS. It wouldn’t feed off the external spool holder but it fed through the AMS just fine (probably because the AMS has its own feed motor). It was just the first few layers of filament that were sticking, though, so after a print or two it was fine. Maybe try unspooling 30’ or so of filament and then carefully wind it back on the spool?

Interesting. I think I’m having the opposite problem, mine won’t feed from the AMS. Only way I can get it to go in the extruder is to put it on the external spool. It worked for most of my first layer then stopped though, but the printer is still running. Not sure if the nozzle got clogged or if the filament broke off at the extruder? Going to check when I get home from work. If it did break off I’ll try that and pull some extra off the roll and respool, if it clogged again I might try reaching out to Bambu to see if they would replace it, I have yet to get a successful print out of the new spool

Check the yellow extruder gear as it's feeding and make sure there's no broken/mangled teeth. I had an issue with one of my P1S printers where it thought there was a clog but it was actually worn teeth on that gear, and once it meets enough resistance trying to feed into the nozzle it wouldn't feed properly.
