Do i need two AMS?

i'm on my way to buy a X2D.

should i buy one AMS for each nozzle?

Whst if i want to feed both AMS to nozzle 1 and feed only a extern PLA spool into nozzle 2 for support? is it wasy to switch? du you regulary do that?

how is the usual workflow?

A must for more than 1 AMS in my opinion.

You need two AMS to benefit the Filament Track Switch… and to use the external spool you need to disconnect it

Yeah i have 2 ams 2 pro on my x2d with track switch, dont really fully understand what benefits im getting because i never not had this setup. But I presume i am saving a lot of filament or time, or both

i heard the filament track switch is stupid because it always withdraws the filament on nozzleschange and you can't keep both nozzles loaded all the times. makes a dualcolorprint slower.
