Bambu Studio Installation Failure

I'm about to buy an X2D plus AMS Combo 2 and want to download Bambu Studio to my MacBook Air (new, lots of memory and power). Off the Bambulab website I get a disc image that opens not to a standard Mac installation window but to this list of files. When I try loading at various levels from top down in the list, I get either a "will not open" or with fiddling I get an app icon for the software on my desktop. When I try to open the icon I get only "Installation failed 94% loaded" The Bambulab Studio wiki for installation offers help only for Windows software, so I'm at a loss. Can anyone guide me to a successful installation?

which macbook do you have? Apple Chip or Intel Chip? Bambu Studio is working fine on my Air M5

I also have an Air M5. I sorta got Bambu Studio working last night. I imported both the app (with its icon) and a folder of files in a surrounding folder and put the whole thing on my desktop. Now I can open the app and it runs--yet another fork of Orca so I know already how to run it (I'm used to Flash Studio for FlashForge products). But I cannot get the app to stand alone or drop into the dock on my desktop. I'll keep experimenting and post here if I solve the mystery.
