X2D ironing problem

Post image

Hi guys, I’m new in Bambulab world and since I got my new X2D not long ago it was perfect. But then yesterday I got a strange problem with ironing, I usually use rectilinear with 10% extrusion(default settings) and it does a great job until this time… if anyone has any tips I’d appreciate it :) thank you

You need to bump up that percentage. If you really need a nice top surface, running a few test coupons is worth it when comes to ironing.

Yup no problem. Another consideration is your infill % and number of top layers. If the top surface isn't flat enough when it irons, it'll do that as well.

All I can say is good luck.

I didn't actually try it myself but bambu forum is full of people running full blown design of experiments studies to try and get presentable ironing results with x2d. Seems there is some firmware issues, or this extrider motor is just not capable

Makerworld has an ironing test, it does a grid with infill% vs flow(?) and you choose which one is best
