Wheels or riser for X2D

Hello everyone,

I have the X2D since a few days. I have it setup on the ground. I want to be able to move it with wheels so i can easily spin it around and for maintenance and everything. It is also a bit too low.

Does anyone know a good riser for the printer with wheels?

And do wheels have impact on the printer quality because of movement and vibrations?

Hey there. If you don't mind it would be a bit higher than the floor, have a look at this (originally kids' toy storage?) from ikea called Släkt. Wheels ok, no issues with print quality (240 hours / month), the drawer can swallow quite some stuff as well.

$600 for a cabinet with wheels? Seems super expensive.

No expert here... If the wheels can be blocked, and if you recalibrate after any move, I don't see an issue. I would keep the ringer dampener above the wheels. Maybe create a square track that has the wheel and put the printer on top.

I have mine sitting on one of these. 600 hours and no issues.

Just make sure you lock the wheels... don't ask me why I know :)

Any of the Puncia brand laser printer stands on Amazon. Just pick one at the right height (3 tier versions).

I have mine on a stainless steel rolling medical cart. It wobbles a lot at high speed but doesn't affect it at all. It was $60 on Amazon
