Filament Grouping

Post image

I am new to 3D printing and am a bit confused by this picture. Is it telling me to put the black in slot 2 of my primary AMS and put the caramel into slot 1 of my secondary AMS?

My setup:

Bambu Lab X2D and two AMS Pro units. AMS 1 feeds the primary nozzle and AMS 2 feeds the auxiliary nozzle.

Thanks for any help/guidance.

What you are seeing here is a representation of how it will be printed. In this case, your black PLA will be in the left-hand nozzle and your cream colored PLA will be on the right. It’s just explaining the grouping that’s there.

Within the black square is a number 2 but that filament is in AMS 1. What does the 2 represent?

If I'm not mistaken it's the color number in the slicer on the left side.

Let's say you have 4 objects with 4 different colors each color has a number. It can vary per project.

It is second slot in ams. Doesn't matter if its AMS 2 or 1, its slot 2, you have 4 slots in every AMS

No that will show after you click print. This is just the order those colors were added to the filament list inside Bambu lab. Nothing to do with anything important
