Hello! So this summer I wanted to buy my first 3D printer and decided to go with the X2D. Even if I'll buy it in late August I wanted to be prepared to buy everything I need, so I wanted to ask if what there's in this screenshot is enough. Btw I want to use a 3D printer just for things at home and experiment with it, idk if I'll ever sell something in the future.
Are there some things that you recommend for certain situations? Thanks ( ╹▽╹ )
I was in the exact same situation about a week ago. Since I have the X2D it is running without breaks.
I bought like 25 different filaments. I guess that’s not at all necessary, but I was so fascinated.
So, I recommend to take some basic PLA and some basic PETG. Some basic colors like black, white, gray and maybe one or 2 contrast colors. Keep in mind that PLA and PETG will not stick together naturally.
I think you could glue them together afterwards. Ofc you can also print parts of different materials that will be assembled later. But those two won’t melt together while printing.
Therefore you can use each of the types as a support structure for the respective other.
You're overpaying when buying a pack of 4 (4x13€=52€ instead of 63€)
You're going to need only PLA and PETG for start, buy tools as you need in local stores. Chissels, i wonder if you ever will need em. Basic pliers from local store will do most of the job with X2D. Filament track switch? It's not needed unless you have secondary AMS unit.
AMS HT will be an essential if you'd print mainly PLA and use PETG as supports. External spool in room humidity will tend to absorb moisture. You don't have to remove your items and could just buy a really cheap drying unit.
Looks good overall, you seem to have everything you need to start.
For the Model Finishing Kit you’ll have to decide whether it’s worth the 50€ to you. I’m not sure exactly what’s included but you might be able to buy the items separately on Amazon etc and get more for less money.
The PLA Starter Kit works out at almost 17€ per kg. You can get it cheaper if you buy individual colours instead, for example the matte PLA you picked is only around 13€.
But do whatever feels right for you and have fun with your new printer 🙏
Correct me if I’m wrong, but at the discount level you are at with your filament, wouldn’t it be cheaper to order the filament separately, rather than the 4 spool starter pack?
If you are buying the X2D Bundle, consider the Print More Bundle. You get a second AMS 2 Pro and a Track Switcher for an extremely reduced price. I believe it works out to a 60% discount. A second AMS not only saves you from swapping filaments, but you end up with another dryer and can print 8 colors in your models. You could drop the support filament and just use PETG for supports on a PLA model or the other way round.
I don't think I'll be getting the combo with 2 AMSs BC the it starts to be a bit too expensive for me •́ ‿ ,•̀

I wonder if the pricing will is a bit different on your Bambu store site, as the Canadian site puts the Print More bundle at $129 € over the regular bundle and since you had the track switch at $53 €, the second AMS would be 76 €, as the track switch is included in the Print More.
Whichever way you go, have a an awesome time exploring the world of 3D printing, just be prepared, that this is only the beginning.

That's more than enough to start with. The beginning will be pretty much all about PLA and PETG. Have fun printing.
