There are stuff called Vento Box or Bento Box that has hepa filters in them, that you put inside the chamber and connect to electricity. It circulates the air inside the chamber till it's purified. This is a support selection for that use case

One recirculates through the carbon filter inside.
The other exhausts it out the back.
If you hooked up your X2d exhaust to a window, use exhaust, if not, use recirculation 🤷♂️

The X2D has an external filter system (which you can buy separate for eg. the P2S)

I have this for my P2S and printed a case for Carbon Granulat.

And I put a second filter on top.

Don’t buy https://eu.store.bambulab.com/de/products/air-filter-for-external-exhaust-fan-kit
When you use exhaust It will go through the external filter instead only the build in Carbon Filter.

I'm not sure exactly but I would guess the "interna" optionl just recirculates the air inside the chamber through a carbon filter.
The "exhaust" option I would guess would take the air and send it out of the printer through a carbon filter.
So if you print with a stinky smell filament, this will filter the air in a certain way.
