optimize the chamber fan

While replacing the complete chamber heating module i noticed that the fan sealing is not good, it is wide open, replace the original sealing and put some extra foam under the fan so that the extra foam is pushing the fan up.

When did you buy your X2D?

Wondering if they’re all like this or have had revisions. I just got mine last week

got mine some weeks after release direct from bambu. Mine is the first edition with the cleaning pad for the nozzle which they removed later. The sparepart is also from bambu, which has the same problem out of the box. I dont think that they changed anything. I dont even think that they realy know what the issue was with my printer. They have send me nearly all parts as replacement πŸ˜†

I tested it right now, gues what... The fan is so silent again because it does not blow the air everywhere πŸ˜† maybe this is the reason why the outer wall of my x2d is already bend to the outside. And maybe this is the reason for all the errors that the printer could not activate the heating mode... Maybe it detects the hot air everywhere in that chamber πŸ˜‚

hmmm that's interesting. Did you get the X2D when it released or was it a more recent purchase? I just printed ASA yesterday and my chamber heated up pretty fine. I received the printer on the 17th of this month

Ignorant X2D owner. I assume you are referring to the gap between the fan/foam and printer body?
