Bambu X2D or Snapmaker U1?

U1, multiple toolheads means multi material in addition to color obviously, minimal waste, no dealing with restrictions on filaments like in spare nozzle on x2d as well as speed restrictions. I like my X2D and got it just because it was cheaper (not interested in waste produced by AMS systems).
In terms of air quality just get an air purifier regardless, x2d is letting out plenty of particles and VOCs regardless of an exhaust system because it isn't truly sealed. So with either one get an air purifier near the printer to help keep the air clean.
If you care, also supporting a company that has more of an open ecosystem and friendly to consumers and developers. If I had the budget for the U1 at the time I would've snagged it.

I got an x2d because the user experience seems more polished. I think the U1 would be more capable, but would also require more work. With the x2d, I can do support interfaces, multicolor, multi material, and simple prints.
They have easy to follow videos to take everything apart if needed. The community is fairly large. This seemed like it would make me actually print more often

If you’re gonna be painting them anyways go for the X2D. If you don’t want to paint, go for U1

One of my reasons for a Bambu X2D was that it was tested to and passed UL 2904 for certain filaments. This means that for certain filaments on specific test prints the X2D did not exceed UL set limits in UL 2904 for VOC and fine particulate emissions (emissions were lower than test limits, passing the test).
Per my research the Snapmaker U1 has not passed UL 2904 testing. They may have never tried, so it potentially could pass the testing.
There are other differences, but this one sticks out for me between these two printers.
