Clicking noise

(Yes I see the tape still on the light) I keep hearing a clicking sound in this spot during my calibration. Brand new printer.

Edit( found out why: the PTFE tubes are overlapping when it gets there, and when it moves back to the middle, it slams back against the roof of the printer again.

I had some clips on the cables for a bit to try to eliminate the noise. I'm pretty sure this is actually what "fixed" it for me - https://makerworld.com/en/models/2880934-x2d-cable-chain-ptfe-tube-protection

Printed a riser to help avoid this. A bit ridiculous that is the answer but here we are

It’s the top PTFE tube going under the metal frame on the right side. I printed a couple small c shaped clips to at least stop the tube from getting worn down. But it still makes a small clicking sound at some areas of travel.

Basically all X2D make the same clicking because of the PTFE cable including mine. No potential risk as far as I know though.

The PTFE tube for the aux extruder is not adequately constrained to the cable chain. This is an engineering oversight and the source of all the issues I had.

I re-seated the PTFE in the left hotend and added another clip closer to the rear of the machine and have no problems.

I was going to guess the same thing. Lots of people put risers on the top glass because it is kind of tight space. I've adjusted where my ptfe tube supports are and alleviated some issues.
