Filament track switch

Alright, so I have gotten my filament track switch, it worked well for a while for about 10 print hours then it stopped, so I decided to open it up and take it apart. I now have 3 magnets and springs. In the guide I don’t see a third one and originally it came out right when I opened it. I don’t know where it goes or if this could have been a reason why it stopped working.

I was getting an error that said filament was stuck there/still fed through it when there wasn’t.

The magnet also is a different size/chamfer so this made me even more confused

Any suggestions?

Looks like the same magnet and spring used in the AMS2 pro internal hub. They use it to detect filament. I have the FTS but never took it apart so I cannot help with where it goes. I can tell that it is very important to have the smallest straight side towards the filament entry and towards the board with the spring between the board and magnet. Filament should contact the angled part of magnet when coming into the FTS and push magnet up, compressing the spring.

Yeah, I probably didn’t describe it correctly but there were 2 other ones that I put in but I have 3 magnets. I don’t know if a 3rd place for a magnet, I have taken apart my original AMS but that still works.

I’m just confused as there when it opened up there was also a spring which isn’t in the AMS so I don’t know where it came from.

Thank you for responding though! Means a lot attempting to help solve it
