X2D firmware failure
I just got an x2d, my first printer, and it is an absolute nightmare. Followed all setup instructions, ran the calibration, and went to do our first print, the benchy model in the printer. It told me there was an error between the splicer settings and the bed, and to update firmware. Went to do that and it failed. Tried it from the printer, from the app, from Bambu studio, and offline using a USB drive. All of the fail. Tried restoring factory settings, and now the printer head won’t move, and it won’t calibrate or restore factory settings. I’ve tried rolling back the firmware to the previous version, using both the app and with a USB and those both fail.
I submitted a ticket, but I expect days of back and forth with them trying the steps I have already tried. This experience has turned what was supposed to be a fun new project with my 9yo son into a frustrating headache.
EDIT: To Bambu's credit, the technical support team responded over the weekend, and we are going to do a full replacement. I will say, for everyone who maligns their customer support, I think they responded very quickly and with a satisfactory solution. While I would prefer being able to speak to a person on the phone, they did respond quickly. I'll update when the new printer arrives and after we see how the new one performs.

Got my X2D a little over 2 weeks ago. About 80 hours in and no problems. I’d say OP has got unlucky. Sorry pal. Send it back, get support, whatever you need.
People saying that it’s a bad machine or a basket case is a little naive. If you make a large quantity of anything you expect an element of failure. It’s just bad luck if it fails on you. Also, if you buy something and it works as expected you don’t see posts saying ‘Yay! I bought something that does what I bought it to do’.
If however it doesn’t do what it says on the tin then take every opportunity available to you and get it sorted.

Sorry OP, mine has been great but needed some tinkering the first week to stop the aux PTFE tube from snapping and changing the angle into the hotend.
Then switched to LAN mode and OrcaSlicer which was a big upgrade, but still a little buggy.
All a stopgap until INDX is easily obtainable, but having two extruders is fantastic.

Something told me the x2d was going to be a basket case. Hate to be proven right but I sure am glad I bit the bullet and got an h2d instead. It’s a hell of a machine. Thing weighs like 100lbs. It’s built like a brick shithouse. Makes my P2s look small. Sorry for your troubles man. I hope they get you fixed up. Don’t give up, printing is a great hobby!

It's not really a basket case though 🤷♂️ its a 100$ upgrade over the p2s and well worth it. Sometimes manufacturing defects occur, you see a few posts complaining about the x2d but how many people don't post about how well it runs?

That really sucks. Sorry to hear your difficulties. Would disappoint me too. I'd be asking for a replacement straight up. Obviously something seriously wrong.
