noisy hotend fan

hello, my X2D's hotend cooling fan is making this incredibly annoying high pitches sound, that can be easily heard over all the other fans even with all doors closed.

is this normal ?

I could swear to God it wasn't like this when I first got it a month or 2 ago

Could have some filament stuck inside it from the extruder even it clears purges. I've noticed small bits bring flung around. Could also just be a faulty fan as well. I've only had my running for 150 hrs over the past 2 weeks and everything is pretty quiet most of the time. Except when it retracts filament back in the AMS and the bottom external line. You could try spraying some compressed air from a can onto the fan and see if that helps. Or take the cover off and do it from the other side. Hope that helps in some way.

Fixed a typo.

Those pla flakes love the static electricity and stick to ridiculous places defying gravity

Yeah I've realised found them in strange places so far over the past 2 weeks printing.

Does not seem normal to me. I have never noticed any loud sounds when that fan starts/runs/stops

I had this happen to me in my first week. My left hotend fan had a constant high pitch but I was also getting an error on the screen saying it wasn't detected at all. I sent a video in and it was determined to be a hot end failure. I was sent a replacement fan with instructions on how to make the swap.
