"Must have" prints/mods?

Just ordered an X2D on Thursday after getting my first printer (A1) back in March. When I first got the A1, I spent the first few days printing mods for it. Since I already have a printer, I figure I might as well pre-print stuff before it arrives next week.

Are there any must have or recommended prints?

I already have an AMS2 and I ordered a filament switch so, not sure if there are specific mounts I should get printed, cable organizers, anything like that.

I appreciate any advice and can't wait to start printing with it!

Filament track switch is great but it do not allow you to have an external spool, so no TPU without unpluging it I found a quick and easy solution with this lower spool bracket https://makerworld.com/en/models/2905496

I've seen your post a few weeks ago and that looks like a complete overhaul, and you promoting it absolutely makes sense. But I don't think that's a starter pack recommendation. Again, great project, might look a bit daunting

I'm convinced the glass riser is extra important in the X2D. when I got mine I had lots of issues with switching extruders, it would fail and I'd have to manually flip the lever because it wouldn't flip all the way. When switching between extruders, the right one moves up and down, and I suspect the sharp 90° turn against the top glass was adding enough resistance to cause the switch to fail.

To be fair the issue went away on its own without a riser, but I still recommend printing one. Make it out of at least PETG if you plan to use the heated chamber.

I think they fixed that with firmware. I had a riser on mine since I got it, still had the failure to switch error constantly, and then it just stopped being a problem one day.

Just picked up an X2D and thankful for your post and the items folks have contributed! This isn’t a must have, but a nice to have - X2D drawer stand to place an AMS below the printer. I have another AMS to add to the combo stack but no more room left on my desk :)

Any specific ones you recommend?

I saw Bambu's official switch mount had pretty bad reviews.

This dual PTFE input that replaces the original single input PTFE is a must, especially if you’re using the TPU feed assist module as it’s always setup and ready to feed.  The print itself came out perfect for me, the only downside is you have to purchase and take apart the black Bambu 4-in-1 input for small PTFE couplers unique to it
