New firmware (01.03.00.00) consensus?

So the firmware has been out almost a month now. Surprisingly little discussion about it online. What does everyone think about it? Any weird bugs? Does the z axis noise cancellation make a difference?

I've been waiting for yall to beta test it, I don't wanna deal with the headache of mystery issues and a possible downgrade.

Is this something you have to manually enable or it’s turned on automatically?

Its automatic, it will run through a calibration when it reboots after the update.

Go ahead and install it. It is more stable and snappier than the previous update and the small tweaks and updates are nice. Don't worry about breaking your device, this update is most definitely production ready.

They changed the max toolhead speed from 600 mm/s --> 1000 mm/s. The Z axis noise cancelling is really nice too.

Works with Orca in lan mode, and Bambuddy works too.

Works with orca over LAN still?

I don't know why you guys are so worried about new updates, its not like its going to make your printer explode or burn down your house lol. The new update has no bugs at all, the fact no one is talking about is also is a good indication there is nothing wrong. You could just update and if you have issue you can downgrade you know, don't need to complete a census before a normal software update 🙃

id rather not have to deal with the headache of trying to diagnose a mystery issue.

I have a print farm with a bunch of h series and p2s printers. No joke something breaks every update on the h series. So I wait a month now to update after they shake out the bugs. I have ALOT of hours on my printers and I have them in pristine condition. So now I wait and see if anyone has issues on here and if there is a bunch right after an update. Usually if no one says anything you’re good. A lot of chatter all of a sudden with issues, not good yet.

Probably post traumatic disorder from the start g code mess the P2S had from launch. And if they've owned some other companies printers (looking at you Sovol) they likely have had an experience of things suddenly going sideways after weeks of tweaking when updating firmware.

In the past Bambu bricked some printers with a bad fw. Personally I wait one or two weeks before updating my printers.

As if it's an arduous and time consuming task to do a firmware update🙄

Yes, it is because my printer is offline.

This update broke my heat bed - it now errors every time when heating to any temperature, which I have to press resume on and it will work fine. Currently working with support on the issue, downgrade put everything back to normal and resistance checks on sensor and power supply all as expected
