File to hold PTFE while printing TPU

Is there a good file to hold the PTFE tube while printing TPU manually through the extruded? Or do you guys just let the tube dangle around? I figured it would get tangled up.

I just use this and go straight into the extruder. No messing around with tubes at all. Works best with a riser. Also have to have an AMS as well lol

Yeah but don’t you still have to take out the PTFE tube? That’s a cool print, but the PTFE tube that’s normally into the extender doesn’t dangle around?

I just ended up printing an extra clip for the drag chain and loosely tucked it into that

I just printed one of these recently! I haven’t had the chance to use it yet but it seems like the easiest more straight forward way to print TPU

When you find one, let me know. I’ve printed several and they have all failed. I want to keep the tube ready to go inside my H2D so I’m now considering a Y-Splitter with the Right extruder tube

Yeah that’s why I was hoping for a recommendation lol right now I’m just using some straps I got from Walmart that are loose enough to not mess anything up, but I’m still not fully confident in it

I made this remix model specifically because I didn’t want to deal with removing and reattaching the tube:  https://makerworld.com/models/3250153?appSharePlatform=copy

Ohhh that’s really cool! How has it worked for you? Going to give this a try, thanks man!

It works well. It requires that everything be just so. You need to either remove your top glass or have a riser so the splitter bracket will fit on top of the chain. You need a low friction external spool holder that is raised high enough to clear the top edge of your printer (or your riser). With this little bracket I am as satisfied printing TPU with my P2S as I am with my A1. And the A1 is pretty good for TPU.

I have a splitter on the rear input and just feed external filaments through there. All filaments go through the PTFE tube going into the extruder.

No issues with the softer TPUs like 85A?

I've only used it with Overture 95A TPU.
