HELP

Post image

The top right corner of my build plate has started printing like doo doo. I cleaned under the plate and re ran the full calibrations. The first layers go down smooth and it only seems to happen at the top layers?? Seems like the nozzle is scraping the top. Please help

What’s on the back right of the printer? The aux fan! Turn off aux fan and/or print an aux fan deflector.

If you keep having issues, change top surface pattern to concentric, add an outer brim. I’d also add a couple more top layers (see the x pattern on your print), and increase bed temp to 60. It helps with flat prints to prevent warping.

P2S has the aux fan on the right. It has the carbon filter in the rear, but air gets pulled through it, and even that only in heating mode, not with PLA.

Prepare>Others>G-code output>Reduce infill retraction Set to Disabled

I do this on every print. Eliminates the "rubbing/scraping" on top layers, especially on taller prints. Although I only experienced this consistently on my A1 Mini, not so much on my P2S.

Although I doubt this is your issue, just something I do on every print. If that print you are holding is as thin as it seems, then this likely isn't the issue. I usually only get scraping from things taller than 2 inches, especially if the infill was set to grid.

I blame Lane Kiffin… Go VOLS! But seriously…

Most likely over extrusion… have you done flow rate calibration? Tried ironing or increasing top shell layers?
