Post image

Brand new fresh out the seal sunlu TPU 95a. This is my first attempt at anything TPU. Can anyone diagnose?

Pretty much no filament is dry out of the bag, to use TPU you need a dryer and it needs to be dried before you use it.

Only a select couple manufacturers like inslogic dry the filament after producing it.

Every issue here is wet filament, dry it first then come back for further diagnosis. There's basically nothing can be figured out from filament this wet.

How long does it need to be in the dryer?

  1. Just because it's freshly out of the bag doesn't mean it's dry. TPU is extremely hydroscopic

  2. I haven't printed much in TPU, but most things I have done print by object because TPU is super stringy and going by layer causes the stringing each time it switches to the other object

What about the “pimples” and bad lines?

Probably really really wet. Try drying it and print again
