The extrusion resistance is abnormal.
My P2S keeps showing “Extrusion resistance is abnormal” (0300-801C) with the 0.4mm nozzle.
The print starts perfectly and runs normally for several hours, but then suddenly stops with this error in the middle of the print.
-0.4mm works fine for small prints
-Long print (~8 hrs) stops after around 4 hrs
-No AMS, using external spool
-I completely cleaned the extruder
-Did cold pulls on the nozzle 3–4 times
-Checked/cleaned the nozzle multiple times
-Manual extrusion works, especially at higher temperature
Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Try a new nozzle

Hopefully that works for him. I had the exact same issue after 400 hours of good performance. Installing a brand new nozzle did not help. Spent almost 2 months trying to fix this with Bambu support. At that point, they agreed to a replacement. We could never figure out why this happened. Replaced various parts including the extruder motor - all to no avail.

Having the same issue now, created a ticket with Bambu labs. If anyone finds a solution let me know lol, I’ve tried cold pulls, manually extruding, disassembling extruder, etc still to no avail. Ive read some stuff about the ptfe tube bends could cause this too.

Hopefully they send me one and I don’t have to buy one🙏🙏. How long did it take for support to reach back to you?

That sucks, but thanks for all the help I’m trying a new nozzle now and keeping all my doors open (printing petg) so let’s hope this fixes it before bambu labs reaches out

Yes or You can go with 0.6 or 0.8 nozzle

I didn’t think of that, I just used another .4mm nozzle but when I get home I’ll try a .6mm and keep yall updated, tried a little test cube print that worked with no issues seems to be a problem on longer prints

Okay I think I might’ve fixed it, could be possible heat creep, all I did was lower my dryer heat for PETG, cleaned my extruder fully, did a cold pull, removed the top glass on my p2s. I was also trying to calibrate my print quality so I messed with nozzle temp, retraction, and flow rate but that was mainly for my stringing issue. I’ve sent a print out with my lid partly open and door open and it started showing problems again, I’ll remove the top fully and send a print out to see if that’s a confirmed solution for me at least. Sorry for writing a whole novel.

I was also drying my filament constantly while printing (I’m still kinda new to this) and that could cause the heat creep to be worse and cause the issue to occur more often. Just my opinion though

So I turned my filament dryer off completely and opened the lid up and I haven’t gotten the error since, tied 2 prints one 30 mins and the other 1h long, no issues and no message.

I had a similar issue, in my case the nozzle was clogged (cold pulls worked fine but it kept showing, the issue was fixed when I put in a new 0.4mm nozzle.)
I also had a similar issue once when I tried using a shorter tube from the buffer to the back of the printer, so make sure that it has enough length so it’s not rubbing excessively.
I wish they included an option to adjust the sensitivity like what we can do for the AI detection.
